In the aftermath of the recent tragic death of Abubakar Nasir Barda, a student of the Federal University Dutsin-ma, Katsina State, a group is asking the State House of Assembly to probe the incident.

According to the Katsina State Chapter of the Coalition of Northern Groups, findings from the investigation should also be published. 

The group said transparency is vital in preventing further speculation and ensuring justice for the victim and all involved.

The Coalition also urged the relevant authorities to punish the culprits, if found guilty, accordingly to serve as a deterrent to similar incidents in the future.

In a press conference on Monday, CNG State Coordinator, Habibu Rumah, said believed that the group will remain vigilant in its pursuit of justice for the late Abubakar Nasir Barda while extending its sincere condolences to his family, friends and the general public of Katsina State.

The demand comes days after the deceased who was a 200-level Computer Science Department student was confirmed dead following a clash between students over a relationship with a female colleague.
